Please note: we're working with two small copper stills, Luna & Sputnik, allowing for up to two participants per still Location: All classes will take place in our Papaiti Gin Distillery, 454 State Highway 4, Upokongaro/Whanganui Duration: Classes will take about 2.5 - 3 hours Preparation: You don't need to prepare at all, but if you want you can bring botanicals you'd like to use with you and already think about what you would like your gin to taste like before your class Bookings required.
If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before the confirmed date of attendance you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before the date of attendance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the date of attendance will not be eligible for a refund. Changing the date of your booking is free of charge up until 48 hours of the date of attendance but subject to availability.

This immersive gin-making experience invites you to create your own gin, inspired by New Zealand’s landscapes and native botanicals. Led by the distillers, you’ll learn about the craft of distillation, discover the stories behind local ingredients, and select from a wide range of botanicals to distill a gin that’s uniquely yours. What you'll take away: A 700ml bottle of your custom gin, new knowledge of New Zealand botanicals, a deeper appreciation for the art of distilling, a story to share over your next G&T.Perfect for: Couples, solo travellers, small groups & anyone who loves locally made food and drink experiences.
