Stranded in Paradise is an ecolodge situated in Tokomaru Bay. It is perched on a hill on established private grounds and has stunning views from the main lodge as well as the cabins. One of Lonely Planet's top three picks for the East Cape/Hawkes Bay area. The bay has 8km of coast and has a 4 square supermarket, a café, takeaway and the Te Puka Tavern which overlooks the sea. The East Cape is an unspoilt slice of New Zealand. Climb the Maori sacred mountain and view the Maori statues. Nearby Tolaga Bay has the longest wharf in the southern hemisphere as well as the Cooks Cove Walkway to hike. A great place to chill out. Horse treks available on request.
