Trips are weather dependent and may be rescheduled if conditions are unsafe. Minimum numbers may apply. Suitable clothing and footwear required. Participants must follow guide instructions at all times. All fishing complies with NZ regulations. No guarantee of catch. Private group rates available on request.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24–48 hours receive a 50% refund. No refunds for cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows. Trips may be rescheduled or refunded if cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions.
Experience the rugged beauty of Taranaki’s west coast with a guided surfcasting session designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re new or looking to improve, start with a hands-on introduction to knots, rigs, bait, and gear before heading to the beach to fish. With small groups (max 6 people), you’ll get personalised coaching on how to read the water, cast with confidence, and fish safely in real west coast conditions. All equipment and bait are provided. With any fish kept you’ll also learn the basics of fish filleting and care, making this a practical, end-to-end fishing experience.
