Mountain biking is a great way to explore the Great Lake Taupo region. We have plenty of mountain biking trails to suit all levels and fitness ability. Some of our mountain biking trips include the amazing Great Lake Trail, part of the NZ Cycle Trail network, boasting stunning scenery and one of the best Grade 3 bike trails in New Zealand.

Closer to town is the Rotary Ride to Huka Falls or the Lions Walk along the lake front, which is family friendly even for the little ones. The Timber Trails is another good ride if you don’t mind going further afield.
