Bookings are essential. The Staveley Experience operates on selected dates. Children aged 8–15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Every participant must complete a waiver before the hike. Suitable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water and snacks are required. Return transport from Methven and coffee at the Staveley Store are included. Advance booking is essential. Maximum six guests. The experience is subject to weather and track conditions.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made at least 24 hours before departure are eligible for a full refund or transfer. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. If Megsy’s Adventures cancels due to unsafe weather, track conditions or other safety concerns, guests can choose a full refund or reschedule to another available date.

Covering approximately 3 km return, it’s perfect for beginners, first-time hikers and families with children aged 8+. Enjoy a comfortable pace, scenic stops, photo opportunities and time to take it all in - without the stress of planning or going alone. Your experience includes friendly guidance from Megsy, return transport from Methven and coffee at the iconic Staveley Store. With a maximum of six guests, this is a personal, welcoming and memorable way to experience Canterbury.
