ZigZag’s 17-day Top Of The North tour begins in Rotorua and heads to the Coromandel Peninsula for four days of beaches and native rainforest. The journey continues north to Mangawhai Heads, a scenic surf village, before reaching the historic seaside town of Russell for three nights - perfect for exploring the Bay of Islands and Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Next is the stunning Karikari Peninsula and a day trip to Cape Reinga, New Zealand’s northernmost point, featuring a famous lighthouse and massive sand dunes. The tour then winds through historic towns to the Kauri Coast, home to ancient Kauri trees and wild kiwi, before concluding in Auckland.
