Bookings to be made via our website. Groups of 10 or more get 10% discount - need to contact by phone or email to place booking.
Our tours are not cancelled for weather - we are flexible enough to work around adverse conditions. If a booking is to be cancelled for whatever reason we will either refund all monies paid in full or if requested we can move your booking to a more suitable date and time.
We are Steve and Taniya Coxhead and we have been involved with sled dogs for 30 years and have the largest Siberian Husky Race Kennel in New Zealand. Early 2016 we relocated to Taupo to establish Timberline - a purpose built facility for our dogs complete with a track for training. Our vision in creating Timberline Kennels was to establish a hands on experience and insight into the world of the Siberian Husky and their original purpose as a sled dog. We offer a unique setting where visitors have the opportunity to mingle with the dogs, learn about their characteristics and limitations as a pet. We discuss our philosophy on keeping a pack of huskies which includes care of the dogs, training and running a sled team.
