Spend the morning exploring the vast landscape of this station, climbing the ridgeline to look over the Shotover River, Mt Dewar and Skippers Canyon. With endless scenic stops enroute, your guide will explain the rich history and stories of the region and explore the grazing lands, native forest, lakes, and rivers as well as old mining huts and settlements.
You will wind up at Moonlight Lodge, where you’ll meet up with John Foster who owns this station. He will share insights into the farming and history of the area, introducing you to the sheep, farm dogs and sharing stories of living in this remote area. Here at Moonlight Lodge you will enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch.
