There are some trophy wild brown trout to be caught in the Upper Waiau, especially for experienced fly anglers who are good with accurate casts and mending.

Our custom bike rack means we can provide on river transfers for cyclist using the Lake2Lake cycle trail
Get dropped of at the end of the Lake2Lake cycle trail at Balloon Loop to ride back to Te Anau or have us pick you and your bikes up there and shuttle you back to the Lake Te Anau control gates.

25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your experience with full payment due 30 days before your trip dates. Departure Times – Whilst we will always do our best to keep to our scheduled departure time, sometimes things happen and we have to adjust our schedule. We will let you know in plenty of time what the new arrangement will be and we will not let you down. Guided fishing trips We require cancellation 30 days prior to your trip departure for a full refund to the original card or account the booking was made on. For cancellations made with less than 30 days notice, a full refund will only be provided if we can rebook your trip dates. I Bike Transfers and Upper Waiau River Water Taxi 48hrs notice required for a full refund.
Our primary guided fishing experiences focus on the highly productive Waiau River in Fiordland National Park. The Waiau is home to some of the highest densities of wild brown and rainbow trout in New Zealand. This is a truly unique kiwi fishing experience suited to all levels of experience; from families with young children hoping to catch their first trout through to highly skilled fly fishers. Our private guided experiences on the Waiau are offered as 1/2 days (morning or afternoon), 3/4 days (afternoon until dusk) and full days. We also run the Waiau River water taxi service for the Kepler Track and Lake2Lake cycle trail. Guided walk-wade fly fishing on the local streams or adventures into Fiordland's backcountry rivers also available.
