Minimum age to participant is at least 10 years old, weigh over 35kgs and be above 137cm tall. Maximum weight limit is 115kgs including harness and gear.
Child age is 10-14 years. Franz Josef Heli Hike not suitable for children under 10 years of age, below weigh 35kgs and under 137cm tall. Franz Josef Heli Hike requires a minimum number of passengers for departures. Bookings will be accepted for numbers less than the required minimum number on the basis that bookings will be co-ordinated to achieve minimum numbers. All Heli-Hikes operate subject to suitable weather and glacier conditions.
Should inclement weather prevent a Heli Hike from operating, the same prepaid voucher will be accepted at any of The Helicopter Line aviation bases for a scenic flight of similar price. This avoids the situation of refunds. Escorts/clients wanting to make changes to dates or time of departure are required to contact the relevant operating base by 9.00am on the day of departure. No refund will be given for no shows or changes made less than 4 hours prior to departure.
