Immediately upon arrival, you will feel a sense of relaxation as the atmosphere soothes away the stresses of daily living. The tranquility and peacefulness of The Cottage surroundings are interrupted only by the sounds of the native Tui and Bellbird/Korimako, you may even get a glimpse of our native Wood Pigeon, the Kereru. In the evening, if you are lucky, you may hear the sound of the Morepork/Ruru. The self catering Cottage at River Birches truly is your perfect escape alongside the magical waters of The Tongariro.River Birches provide The Cottage with a hamper of gourmet breakfast provisions.
