Experience Manawa as a boutique retreat in the Canterbury foothills. Guests staying in individual sleeping pods enjoy access to shared facilities including the communal kitchen, sauna, swimming pool, spa pool, and walking trails. Exclusive hire is also available for groups, offering private use of the entire property including accommodation and all on-site facilities. Ideal for wellness retreats, family gatherings, celebrations, weddings, corporate off-sites, and special events.
Cancellation terms vary depending on the type of booking. For exclusive hire bookings, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made before the final payment due date may be eligible for a refund of any additional amounts paid, excluding the deposit. For individual sleeping pod stays, bookings are non-refundable. Date changes may be considered at Manawa’s discretion and are subject to availability.
Guests are welcomed into well-appointed accommodation offering individual sleeping pod stays or exclusive hire for groups of up to 23 guests across seven sleeping pods and a bunk room. Bedding includes a mix of queen and single beds, alongside a fully equipped communal kitchen and generous shared spaces ideal for group stays, retreats, family gatherings, private events and weddings. On-site facilities include a sauna, swimming pool, and hot tub, offering opportunities for relaxation and recovery. Walking trails throughout the property provide access to the Selwyn River and invite guests to slow down and connect with nature. Set in the foothills of Canterbury, Manawa offers a peaceful escape while remaining within easy reach of Christchurch.
