From the pretty 'garden city' of New Plymouth, we head to Waitomo, famous for its magnificent glow worms & natural limestone cave formations. We then explore the golden bays & lush primeval forest of the Coromandel Peninsula, join a magical Hobbiton ™ movie set tour, and spend time in the geothermal & cultural wonderland that is Rotorua. After some laid-back harbour town vibes in Whakatane, we meander around the beautiful, remote Te Tai Rāwhiti (Coast of the Sunrise) and relax in the internationally renowned wine regions of Gisborne, the Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough, before embarking on two separate day trips to the ruggedly spectacular Castlepoint and Cape Palliser lighthouses. Our tour then ends in the cosmopolitan city of Wellington.
