The Rangitikei River is one of New Zealand's most beautiful and most thrilling rafting rivers, and River Valley sits right on its banks. We offer Grade 5 half-day trips: 11km of world-class whitewater, departing twice daily and finishing right at the Lodge door. For something more relaxed, our Grade 2 scenic trips are a full-day experience complete with a picnic lunch on the river. Both trips wind through spectacular gorge scenery. Want more time on the water? Multi-day and overnight trips let you go deeper into the river and the landscape. River Valley has been guiding on the Rangitikei for over four decades, and with Isla and Keeva now guiding the easier sections, we have four generations of the family on the river.
