Trips take about 2.5 hours and are subject to minimum numbers, lake and weather conditions. Bring a warm jacket just in case and a towel if you fancy a swim.
Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will incur no fee for scheduled trips. If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the weather or anything else out of your control) you will be entitled to a full refund. People failing to show up for check in will not be refunded. Failing to cancel will result in loss of 100% of the total booking price. Please note: we will be unable to hold bookings for you, if you do not confirm your booking.
Tiua's luxury fit out with spacious saloon, covered cockpit and high-end fittings offers comfort and class. She is the only boat suitable for all weather sailing on Lake Taupo, making her a great choice to visit the Māori Rock Carvings. Enjoy the large deck and lean bag on some beanbags or get shelter from rain, wind or sun in the saloon and cockpit. Discover the beauty of the largest freshwater lake in Australasia, its breath taking clear waters and stunning surroundings of mountains and hidden bays. Learn from your experienced guide about the history of the lake, the Māori Rock Carvings, and their cultural significance. Stop for a swim in the fresh waters before snuggling up under some blankets. There is a fully licensed bar on board.
