If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before you are due to arrive, we will withhold 50% of the total suite/room cost for the duration of the reservation. Alternatively, you can reschedule your stay once within the 3 months following for the same or higher price. You will only be charged the difference. Written notification of cancellation must be sent to us by email. The cancellation shall be deemed effective on the day we receive the email.
Originally built in 1861, The Old Oak is a registered heritage building. The hotel has been restored and remodeled with stylishly decorated modern rooms. The property features cottage gardens and harbour views. It is a short walk on the scenic boardwalk into the village where you will find restaurants and cafes, shops, and other historic buildings. Mangonui is the gateway to Cape Reinga - perfect for a day trip up to the iconic lighthouse, climb the Te Paki sand dunes, or take a drive on Ninety Mile Beach. It is also truly a beach paradise, where you can visit the many sandy beaches of Doubtless Bay.
