If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before you are due to arrive, we will withhold 50% of the total suite/room cost for the duration of the reservation. Alternatively, you can reschedule your stay once within the 3 months following for the same or higher price. You will only be charged the difference. Written notification of cancellation must be sent to us by email. The cancellation shall be deemed effective on the day we receive the email.
Originally built in 1861, The Old Oak is a registered heritage building. The hotel has been restored and remodeled, and features stylishly decorated modern rooms. The property features cottage gardens, a petanque court, and harbour view verandas and courtyards. The hotel is a short three minute walk on the scenic boardwalk into Mangonui Village where you will find restaurants and cafes, clothing and gift stores, and historic buildings. Mangonui is also the gateway to Cape Reinga - perfect for a day trip up to the iconic lighthouse, ride the Te Paki sand dunes, or take a drive on Ninety Mile Beach.
