Experience the dramatic Otira Gorge before heading to the “Coast”, viewing the rugged mountains, varied forest types and perhaps see the rare Kea, the alpine parrot. The West Coast is known for its stunning beauty, varied landscapes, jade/pounamu and its gold and coal heritage.
Cape Foulwind, Punakaiki, Hokitika, the glaciers and the rainforests are some of the highlights before heading on to Haast, Wanaka and Queenstown.
