Departing from the Tauranga Port Gates, this scenic geothermal adventure travels past Mount Maunganui and stops at Mount Main Beach before heading inland through Rotorua to Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the world’s youngest geothermal valley formed by the 1886 Mount Tarawera eruption. Enjoy a guided walk past steaming craters, Frying Pan Lake, Inferno Crater, and volcanic landscapes before a boat cruise on Lake Rotomahana, where the story of the lost Pink and White Terraces comes to life among steaming cliffs and geysers. The tour also visits Wai-O-Tapu mud pools, the towering Redwoods Forest, and a kiwifruit orchard in Paengaroa.
