Ride a comfortable electric bike along the Avon River Trail as you weave and wind your way to New Brighton. Have a look as you bike along the Avon River as you may see geese and swans and the occasional kayaker.
Your guide will navigate you to New Brighton, talking through the history of the green space along the Avon River.
New Brighton is home to the new He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools, where there is a selection of hot pools to soak in with varying temperatures and sizes.
Relax after your bike ride to New Brighton in these hot pools while you lookover the beach. You may see the occasional surfer in the water.

Full refund less 15% deposit (admin fee) if you cancel more than one month prior to start. No refund if you cancel one month or less prior to start. If the tour/course is cancelled by Chill due to circumstances outside our control, a refund less 15%. This is at the discretion of the guide, and safety is the most the most important consideration. In case of rain or inclement weather, the bike tour will be changed to a walking tour, umbrellas can be provided by Chill.
Our City to Sea + Soak is an Electric Bike tour along the Avon River Trail followed by a soak in the new He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools in New Brighton.
Enjoy the peaceful cycle trails as you wind through the Avon River corridor, a green space connecting the city to the coast that serves as a picturesque yet sobering reminder of the 2010/2011 Christchurch earthquakes. Your guide will point out multiple points of interest along the way as you take in the varied landscape ranging from the central city to Brighton Beach, views of the Port Hills, and much more.
