Our experiences are best suited for adults/teenagers (12 years+) however we are happy to arrange a private class to accommodate families with young children. We can accommodate gluten-free and vegetarian diets as part of our shared classes. We are unable to cater for those on a paleo, vegan or halal diet as part of our shared classes, however we are more than happy to arrange a private class. Please contact us via email to discuss further.
As our classes are a very intimate size of 8 guests and we are unable to offer refunds if you cannot attend. 30 days notice is required if you wish to transfer to another date or to keep your funds in credit for another time. You are welcome to offer your place to a friend if you cannot attend.
Step into the Chris & Fiona's home & commercial kitchen at Hapuku Kitchen and join them in creating simple, flavour-driven dishes inspired by the wild Kaikōura landscape. Using ingredients you’ve personally foraged and harvested from the extensive gardens, each menu is thoughtfully crafted the day before, guided by what’s at its seasonal best. The experience begins with a warm welcome—locally roasted coffee, New Zealand tea and freshly baked goods—alongside an introduction to the kitchen and the day’s menu. From there, head into the gardens to gather what you’ll cook, before returning to the kitchen to prepare your meal. The journey finishes at the table, where you relax and enjoy the dishes you’ve created, paired with local beverages.
