Just as the early miners did in the 1860s, you'll set off from Queenstown's town centre. Travelling in a luxury 4WD vehicle with up to 11 guests, our high-quality documentary-style audio stories (available in 8 languages) deliver a level of historical detail impossible to achieve through traditional live commentary. This small, locally run experience lasts between 3 and 4 hours, with plenty of amazing photo stops along the way where your host will share historic photos, fascinating stories, and local insights. We finish at a historic gold mining pub dating back over 160 years, where you can enjoy a complimentary hot drink, soft drink, beer, or wine before returning to your original pickup point.
