If we need to cancel due to poor or unsafe weather conditions on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, we offer a transfer on your ticket to another day that suits you or a full refund. No refund is given in the case of missing the bus. There are no refunds for no shows or missing the bus. Please make sure you are early and in the correct car park. Follow our instructions.
This Tongariro shuttle is our most popular option, suiting travellers who want full flexibility on the day. Park your car at the Tongariro Park & Ride car park along State Highway 46 (SH 46), at the Ketetahi end of the track. Catch our one-way morning shuttle to Mangatepopo at the start and hike The Crossing at your own pace, before walking back to your own vehicle at the end. No need to worry about missing a return shuttle or waiting around for a scheduled pickup. When you book, we send you clear directions on where to go, and on the day, we provide a map and an information sheet so you feel prepared and confident.
