Pre-scheduled per person on a shared tour which includes the entrance fee to Wai-O-Tapu Park. Or as a Land based tour using the Private Charter Tour hourly rate NZ$180.00. Minimum tour duration for Land based tours departing from Rotorua to Wai-O-Tapu is 5 hours. Entry fees are additional with Private Charter Tours. These can depart from your accommodation in Rotorua or Tauranga.
Pricing - All quoted prices are in NZD and include GST of 15%. They are correct at the time of publishing. When making a booking, you must complete the booking process including the deposit to secure your seat. Cancellations less than 24 hours before your tour departure time or your ship’s estimated arrival time at the Port of Tauranga will not receive a refund. You will join Scott Tours for a journey to Rotorua. Our guests will be guided around Wai-O-Tapu park by Geoff your Driver/Tour Director. This is a leisurely walk with plenty of stops for photo opportunities. One not-to-miss highlight of the Wai-O-Tapu guided day tour is the “Mud Pool”. This feature was the site of a large mud volcano which was destroyed through erosion in the 1920′s. It now provides an opportunity to experience the captivating noise of bubbling mud. The tour around the Park takes approximately 2 hours, but can be shortened if required. Wai-O-Tapu has a cafe and gift shop on site. Lunch is not included in this tour. We recommend walking shoes and sunhats in Summer.
