The North West Circuit offers challenging multi-day tramping around Rakiura/Stewart island’s northern coast, suitable for the fit and well-equipped. Typically completed in 10 days, additional legs such as the Rakeahua Valley and Doughboy Bay can be added to the North West Circuit. Take advantage of our water taxi services to shorten the trip, cut and paste desired locations into your itinerary, or get to those remote locations more quickly.
Destinations include Port William, Bungaree, Christmas Village and North Arm. The Port William coastal track, part of the Rakiura Great Walk, is one of the island’s most popular half day walks. We run scheduled departures to Port William most mornings so that you can enjoy the walk back to Oban.
