We begin with a drive up to the Mt Victoria Lookout for views over the city, Miramar & further. We then continue past the forest where Lord of the Rings filming began in the "Hobbiton Woods" & onto Miramar - home to New Zealand's filming industry. We can make a stop at the local version of the Hollywood sign before continuing to the historic Roxy Cinema. Here we enjoy a drink & tour and this is where you have the chance to view a real Oscar, won by Jamie Selkirk for Lord of the Rings. From the Roxy, we continue past numerous studios before arriving at the Weta Cave - tourism and retail arm of special-fx company, Weta Workshop. Here you can take many pictures & purchase some of their movie memorabilia. The Weta Experience is optional too.
